BTW, on Friday 31st May we are playing records at a new PARTY called ‘Our Place’ at The Hive Project, a really intimate and really amazing space in Hackney Wick. We’ll probably play this, along with lots of other lovely music like it, we hope you can come down.
We are doing this on 10th May with Fina Records.
It will be FREE and it will be FUN.
Venue is ‘The Hive Project‘ in Hackney Wick (a pretty special venue).

Here’s an hour and 5 minutes from Greg in anticipation of our party with him, BLM & Bearweasel at Basing House on the 15th Feb. Lots of lovely music in this including especially exceptional detours from Mr Larger, Burial, Alan Backdrop and Jacques Renault. Our good friend the extremely talented Anna Wall drops her debut release – a remix of Mettes ‘Don’t Make Me Wait’ – on Danish label Two House Recordings this week. Borrowing only the vocal from the original Anna turns out a track that is lush and warm with percussion that completely avoids feeling rigid and quantized, a pitfall that seems to plague many freshman producers. Lovely work, we implore you to grab a copy now, you can do so here.
Sandwell District’s David Sumner a.k.a. Function presents his much anticipated debut album ‘Incubation’ on OstGut Ton in March. Voiceprint (Reprise) is one of nine tracks on an album that tackles ambient synth-led soundscapes and techno in both deep, melodic and driving, relentless forms. Voiceprint (R) – a reprise of the album’s kick-less opener – seemingly represents the latter but Sumner works in an enough of the original’s flourishes to widen its appeal to even the more delicate of club-goers.
This is a lovely new track from Swedish duo Genius Of Time offering up something slightly different than your usual four to the floor houseyness. Gratifying is the word I’d use to describe the enormous breakdown in the middle. Just the spot!

Pampa boss DJ Koze drops a sublimely wonky remix of Matthew Herbert’s ‘It’s Only’ from the Bodily Functions album. Herbert’s jazz infused shuffle gets some decidedly dance floor orientated low end fuzz - ouch! Coming soon on Pampa Records.
Former GetDownGood cuddly bear Cottam is a really lovely guy and he makes even lovelier music, as evidenced by his latest EP for Will Saul’s Aus Music. Just listen to those phasing drums and big, warm pads; lush innit?
