We love Axel Boman. We want to give him cuddles; and it’s records like this that reinforce that desire. Warm, loopy and emotional, Looks What You’ve Done To Me pushes all the right melancholic buttons while simultaneously making you feel real good about life; no mean feat we’re sure you’ll agree. Part of his Magic Black Bowman EP forthcoming on Hypercolour, you can get the vinyl 25th February and the digital a week or so later.

Get Down Good with BLM, Bearweasel & Greg Sawyer
Greg Sawyer – Mix for GetDownGood (@ Basing House, 15th Feb)
Here’s an hour and 5 minutes from Greg in anticipation of our party with him, BLM & Bearweasel at Basing House on the 15th Feb. Lots of lovely music in this including especially exceptional detours from Mr Larger, Burial, Alan Backdrop and Jacques Renault. Greg needed new press pics but as you can see, opted for a pencil drawing instead as he decided it was more underground. Lovely big face. What do you think?

Mettes – Don’t Make Me Wait (Anna Wall Remix)
Our good friend the extremely talented Anna Wall drops her debut release – a remix of Mettes ‘Don’t Make Me Wait’ – on Danish label Two House Recordings this week. Borrowing only the vocal from the original Anna turns out a track that is lush and warm with percussion that completely avoids feeling rigid and quantized, a pitfall that seems to plague many freshman producers. Lovely work, we implore you to grab a copy now, you can do so here.

Greenville Massive – Bonum EP
This is the next release on my Tenth Circle label, and I’m proper excited about it finally coming out; it’s been a long time in the making. I’ve always wanted to have a Greenville Massive release on the label, so for it to happen makes me feel all warm inside. Hopefully these records will give you a similar feeling. Out 3rd December.
Matthew Herbert – It’s Only (DJ Koze Remix)
Cottam – Relapse
Former GetDownGood cuddly bear Cottam is a really lovely guy and he makes even lovelier music, as evidenced by his latest EP for Will Saul’s Aus Music. Just listen to those phasing drums and big, warm pads; lush innit? Well we think so… This’ll be out in a couple of weeks and we strongly recommend that when it is you pop down to your local record outlet and purchase a copy. Go on… it’ll make you feel reaaaaal good about yourself.
Baby Prince – Nobody feat. Lonely C
Look at him, all smug and smoking and sexy and stuff. Mind you. I’d be pretty smug myself if was turning out records like this. Baby Prince (aka W+L’s Gadi) drops this absolute belter on somethinksounds in the next few weeks, and if I were you I’d snap it up quicksmart. Encompasses everything I love about Gadi’s production with a bonus R&B-flecked vocal turn from Charlie thrown in for good measure…
