This lovely little gem is taken from Shade Of Gray’s full length, out now on Beef Records. Definitely one of the darker offerings on the album, the chopped up vocal imparts a ghostly, African inspired element whilst moody pads provide a warming backdrop. Add some funky, kick-snare-kick action and all my musical boxes are ticked. I like it alot.
There’s plenty more on this album that deserves your attention, much of it sample based, dancefloor orientated and laced with soul and disco sensibility.
