Another stunning SWD edit – this from Nicolas (Kojak Giant Sounds) - Laced with Reverend Green’s painfully smooth vocal. Sigh…..

It seems we are spoilt of late, on the back of some awesome edits from Nico and a wicked free R&B EP from the boys a while back (Bobby etc..) comes this; the Soul Clap and Friends FREE.P. Navbox is definitely the track for me in this!
The downloads are all used up on Soundcloud so a nice little Friday treat anyway! Enjoy.
This is Brian Lindgren’s full length début as Mux Mool. It’s a massive record, you can buy it here, its available digitally only. I have singled out the stand out tracks for me, but there are eight on there in total (7 remixes and 1 new one), so go check em’ out!
The first is the title track. Mux Mool’s ‘remux’ of Skulltaste’s ‘Wax Rose Saturday. This updated version is much fuller, a warmer sound with bigger beats and an intergalactic vocoder! The new track on the EP is ’Valley Girls’. The label describe it as ‘somewhere between West Coast ‘90s hip-hop and Miami Vice’ and I don’t think they could be more spot on! Lastly, a psyched-out Paul White remix… enjoy!
A nod to the artwork too… wow.

Don’t really like Mark Ronson. Think he’s pretty over-rated, famous for being famous, etc (sorry Mark if you’re reading this….) Luckily, U-Tern have taken his fairly average new single, removed all the rubbish vocals, and made it into a really nice disco tune. The keen GetDownGooders amongst you will have picked this up in the Magician mix I put up back here. It’s top dog, and it’s out on iTunes soon.

Nicolas Jaar has released an EP of 6 disco edits, which he’s letting us download for free! What a nice man. Visit the ‘free music’ site at http://www.wolflambmusic.com to listen and download.
One of his first offerings to the world, a few months back, Ontario native Sean Roman released this along with another track ‘Lick’ earlier this year. Amazingly skillful, this is loads of fun. It grooves along steadily, make no mistake this is a disco house record, but with all the bounce, synth stabs and strange vocals of one of its ‘Hot Natured’ or ‘Crosstown’ counterparts.

So Aeroplane split up. Boo Hoo
But you know what, out of this particular cloud has come a funky, grooving, shiny silver disco lining. This is The Magician’s mixtape, and it is GREAT.
Sometimes I hear a track that makes me feel a little sick and a little sad in a really good way. This is one of them…it’s the kind of track that encapsultes everything I love about house music – even music in general – and it should be heard by everyone. The other tracks on the EP are pretty killer too but this is something special.
We love a good party here at GetDownGood, and if we’re not throwing one ourselves, chances are we’re throwing ourselves around at someone else’s. This August bank holiday, our party of choice will be Discovery meets Warm, featuring some of our favourite fellows; Warm residents Ali Tillet & Rob Summerhayes, Pete Herbet plus big dog Jamie Jones will be doing a special Hot Natured set.
Anyway, we’ll be there, so if you haven’t made plans there are probably worse places you could be…
Red Rack’em (aka Danny Berman) hails from Nottingham and has been in the game for some time. I met him at big chill a couple of years ago, a thoroughly awesome guy! Here are a few of his most recent tracks.
Funky, deep and sometimes a little wrong, Danny has a brilliant skill and these are very good indeed!
