Released on Nu Faze Records (NYC) February 14th 2011
These snippets are taken from the What’s Mine is Yours EP, forthcoming on Gadi’s Double Standard imprint. The man responsible is Greg Paulus, one half of No Regular Play and definitely one of my favourite artists, both with the band and when flying solo.
The main event on the EP is the title track, What’s Mine is Yours – effortless as always, such a wicked vocal.
Must confess though, my fav on there is U R. This features in Greg’s June promo mix (watch this space)! I first heard this on a mix from Zev (the one from Goa) and it haunted me then. I love the melody and the warm rolling feel of the bass, it’s genius!
Should mention, the picture is of the notorious Marcy, in Williamsburg, NYC. This is the Wolf and Lamb laboratory, No Regular Play’s flat and possibly the coolest ‘Venue’ in the world. Looking at it kind of makes me a little sad, like looking up at a jumbo jet going overhead when you’re a kid and thinking, why the fuck aren’t I going on holiday. Greg, Jo and I intend to go this year! The EP’s launch is June 20th at the Marcy with Gadi, Soul Clap, NRP and Tim Sweeney. Wow, that’s all I have to say about that.
