Recently, a lot of the music I come across – especially dance music – seems to have changed it’s roots. The synthy, miminalist influence of the 80′s has made way to the bouncy, overtly joyous themes of the 90′s…no bad thing in my book. Developing this thought, I spoke to some major 90′s influenced players – Soul Clap, Tensnake and Lee Foss – to get their thoughts on why the decade of bum bags and baggy pants are making a comeback…
Sometimes I hear a track that makes me feel a little sick and a little sad in a really good way. This is one of them…it’s the kind of track that encapsultes everything I love about house music – even music in general – and it should be heard by everyone. The other tracks on the EP are pretty killer too but this is something special.
